Painting a car can be quite a difficult task that cannot be completed without proper preparation. It will require careful preparation of the body or its individual elements, as well as a special room isolated from external influences.
You should not try to save money on the “car painting” service, which is offered by inexpensive handicraft workshops. For many years of work, we had to personally observe the consequences of poor-quality painting as a result of not very professional efforts of car painters.

Car painting - the main nuances
It does not matter whether you have to complete the painting of the car or work with a separate element of the body, you must follow a certain sequence of actions. The first and main mistake of amateur painters is the neglect of preparing the corrected surface.
High-quality painting is not just a uniform spraying of balloon paint on a given body element. It should be preceded by such steps as:
- removal of the original paintwork and any rust stains;
- washing and degreasing the above surface;
- dust removal with antistatic agents;
- primer;
- basic processing (grinding, for example);
- re-cleaning the surface and so on.
Car painting should be carried out in conditions that minimize the influence of external factors. Do not allow dust particles or small insects to stick to fresh paint.
After applying the base coat of paint to the previously prepared surface, further work should be postponed for the time provided by the manufacturer.
Attempts to speed up the painting of the car is highly undesirable – all your previous efforts due to the rush can be reduced to nothing. When the paint is completely dry, it should be polished and cleaned again. Then comes the application of a layer of protective clear varnish, which will also require polishing.
