The key to reliable operation of any vehicle, regardless of make, year, or mileage, is regular maintenance and monitoring of all its components. Given the quality of our country’s roads, the chassis requires special attention, as it bears the brunt of the potholes and rough roads.

Timely chassis diagnostics allow us to identify and correct any damage and defects at an early stage. This, in turn, extends the comfortable and safe operation of the vehicle, and helps avoid serious breakdowns and subsequent costly repairs.

What is a chassis?

The chassis includes all the components, parts, and mechanisms that ensure the vehicle’s movement on the road.

This is a very complex system, and the failure of any one component can have negative consequences for the overall performance of the vehicle. Therefore, a chassis inspection is a mandatory procedure that every vehicle should undergo from time to time.

As a general rule, it’s recommended to have your car’s chassis checked twice a year, along with tire changes. If you get your tires changed at a service station, this check won’t take long.

However, if you drive on rough roads and cover more than 10,000 kilometers per season, you should have your chassis checked more frequently.

Experienced drivers can point out dozens of less obvious signs of chassis problems. But if you’re a novice or don’t want to delve into car repairs, understanding all the nuances can be difficult. The main rule is this: if you notice your car’s behavior on the road has changed, makes strange noises, or is becoming more difficult to control, it’s time to visit a service station.
