Why roads are the main enemy of the suspension

Roads with potholes, ruts and uneven surfaces create constant mechanical loads on the car’s chassis. The suspension feels uneven roads as shocks, vibrations and variable loads on the suspension elements. To reduce the negative impact of bad roads on a car:

• choose the optimal speed and avoid sharp impacts when driving over potholes;
• regularly check the condition of shock absorbers, silent blocks, joints and stabilizers;
• carry out balancing and checking the geometry of the wheels at least once every 10–15 thousand km;
• inspect the springs, subframes and levers for cracks or deformations;
• replace worn parts with high-quality analogues, especially after intensive use on bad roads;
• pay attention to the appearance of extraneous noises, knocking or unstable handling – these are early signs of wear.

Following these rules allows you to maintain handling, reduce noise and vibrations, and extend the life of the suspension. Regular inspection, timely replacement of worn elements and careful operation allow you to minimize wear, maintain stable operation of the chassis and safety on the road.
